Description

Section H of the Pacific Crest Trail is the first section in Washington State. It runs 147.5 miles from Highway 14 at Bridge of the Gods (the Oregon/Washington state line) to Highway 12 near White Pass. Since this section is so long, it passes through a number of different environments and passes many exception mountain peaks, including the occasionally active volcano Mt. Adams. This section begins at 180 feet above sea level and ends at 7,080 feet, so be prepared for some climbing.<br />

Along the way this section of trail passes Gillette Lake, Greenleaf Creek, Table Mtn., Road 2090, Road 2000, Rock Creek, Snag Creek, Road 2070, Trout Creek, Road 417, Wind River Ranger Station, Little Soda Springs Road 54, Wind River, Road 6517, Panther Creek Road 65, Panther Creek, Road 68, Cedar Creek, Big Huckleberry Mountain summit trail, Road 60 at the back of the Crest Campground, Green Lake, Blue Lake, Deer Lake, Sawtooth Mountain, Road 24, Road 8851, Road 88, Trout Lake Creek, Road 8810, Road 23, Road 521, Swampy Creek, White Salmon River, Sheep Lake, Riley Creek, Mutton Creek, Lewis River, Killen Creek, Muddy Fork, trailside Lava Spring, Road 5603, Road 115, Midway Creek, Walupt Creek, Sheep Lake, Cispus Pass, Cispus River, Lutz Lake, Tieton Pass, Chairlift Trail, and Ginnette Lake.
